The Senior Associate Director assists the Area Director to oversee critical program functions typically reserved for the Area Director. The Senior Associate Director supervises programs, employees, systems, and processes critical to the successful operations of the area. In order to focus time and attention on the assigned Director duties, the Senior Associate Director carries a reduced Associate Director caseload or, as determined by the Area Director and based on assigned duties, may not carry an Associate Director caseload. The Senior Associate Director plays a critical role in maintaining a high level of quality for the program, including mentoring and coaching other Associate Directors in the program. Each Senior Associate Director will be assigned unique, ongoing responsibilities as assigned by the Area Director. Therefore, duties may vary from one Senior Associate Director position to another, but all duties will require alignment with BAI’s mission to help individuals become as independent as they can using the four BAI Values: Integrity, Teamwork, Respect, and Dedication.

REQUIREMENTS
- 21 years or older
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-years experience as a successful Associate Director
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the program and individuals served
- Communicate well in both verbal and written form
- Additional experience (beyond minimums listed above) working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Ability to train and coach supervisees
- Good listening skills
- Ability to prioritize work and assignments
- Strong supervisory skills
- Ability to provide effective positive and critical feedback
- Good follow up skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professional and state employees
- Understanding of basic business principles
- Knowledge of person-centered plans and ability to develop and write effective goals
- Good judgment and ability to handle crisis situations
- Understanding of basic computer and information technology systems and programs
